Ivie + Shawni's Vibrant April Wedding at The Hillside Estate
Ivie and Shawni had an April wedding at The Hillside Estate and took advantage of the venue and weather with an indoor ceremony and outdoor reception. We got to work with Gathered Events on curating all the right elements to go along with bold colorful, textural floral moments.
The star of the ceremony was the winding aisle densely lined with blooms in pinks, purples, oranges and yellows, paired with colored pillar candles and leading up to a lush floral arch at the altar. Leaning into burgundy as a focal color helped elevate the palette and made the other shades pop even more.
The reception was held outside, where a few long guest tables surrounded the dance floor (just as vibrant and bold as the flowers and other decor!). We designed floral runners with the same bright pinks and oranges, and also styled bud vases and candles for extra interest and layers on the rectangular tables.
White and orange linens were the perfect complement to the deep burgundy tones in the flowers and decor - even at the sweetheart table, which was framed by a fireplace with a mantle arrangement and a semicircle of some softer shades in front. For a final lush, romantic touch, greenery was strung across the venue’s cafe lights.
Ivie’s bridal bouquet was an elegant, romantic culmination of the floral design, focused on a contrast of light, bright orange and yellow tones with deeper purple and red blooms and dainty textures.
