Katelyn + Jarrett's Tropical Midsummer Wedding in Cancun

Katelyn and Jarrett brought our team and Gathered Events to Cancun to deck out a resort venue for their ceremony and reception - full of vivid pink tones and tropical blooms and greenery. It was midsummer and ended up being the perfect upscale lush, beachy vision.

The ceremony was outdoors, with the altar situated beneath an oversized arch. We designed an organic-style installation to hang overhead, featuring Bougainvillea (a local staple), Hydrangea and plenty of greenery. This was in a more neutral palette with just subtle pops of mauve. Arrangements in baskets marked the start of the aisle with more vibrant blush shades. The ocean and the venue’s natural vegetation were the perfect backdrop.

The reception was also in an open-air space, with a round bar, dance floor and a mix of round and rectangular guest tables for the seated dinner. Accents like rattan, wood, stone and colored glass brought in natural textures. A range of blush and pink tones were featured in the flowers and decor - colored candles made the tables extra eye-catching and layered, along with pink menus and glassware. We designed arrangements for the tables that sat in terracotta bowls among the candles.

A large arrangement accented the bar with lots of dimensional tropical leaves, and more pink blooms and greenery encircled the simple wedding cake on a brown wooden fluted table.

Katelyn’s bouquet was all-white with mini Orchids placed throughout to create an organic-feeling shape - this tied in the beachy style to the bride’s look.
