Julia + Derek's Modern and Moody Fall Affair

We love when the colors of the season manifest in our floral designs. Julia and Derek’s wedding at Brake & Clutch Warehouse embodied a unique moody fall color palette that perfectly complimented the venue’s modern-industrial design. We were so excited to play up the exposed brick walls, contemporary-style chandeliers, and other details of this venue space.

For the ceremony, we created an asymmetrical design on a wooden arch with flowers on one corner paired with light fabric draping across the opposite side. This, along with the exposed brick and Edison bulbs, made up the perfect moody yet romantic backdrop for this couple’s vows and first kiss as husband and wife!

This color palette is gorgeous and full of rich tones, and played well with all of the greenery accents throughout the space, behind the sweetheart table and climbing up the wooden beams of the reception area. We decorated the guest tables with plenty of greenery and bud vases of burgundy and neutral blooms. These wooden tables and chairs were the perfect style to match this eclectic design feel.

The bouquets for this bridal party were full of stunning rich-toned and statement flowers including peonies and dahlias. The bridesmaids had on gorgeous light blue dresses that made the dark burgundy flowers pop, and the bridal bouquet’s neutral and burgundy blooms looked beautiful with her timeless ivory wedding gown. We love when a bouquet serves as a true statement element of a bride’s look!

This fall wedding embodied a sophisticated color palette that we just adored, and the architecture and design throughout Brake & Clutch couldn’t have been more fitting. This couple wore this style so well, and were joined by plenty of family and friends at their one-of-a-kind moody and modern celebration.

Heather + Dustin's Timeless and Classic Wedding Design

Heather and Dustin held their late summer wedding at the beautiful Knotting Hill Place, whose big ballroom and high-ceilinged ceremony space are unmatched! This couple went for a lot of classic black and white elements, which go along with the style of this venue so well. This ceremony and reception were filled with bold yet timeless floral statements.

The ceremony room at Knotting Hill Place is spacious with extra high ceilings and stunning crown molding design. This space is classy and simple yet grand and perfect for such a momentous occasion! We designed two large statement arrangements full of greenery that framed Heather and Dustin at the altar as all of their friends and family watched them recite their vows. These arrangements and this stately room make for such a sophisticated and timeless event design.

For the reception, the decor took on a similar style with some more elegant and romantic elements. The tablescape design included statement black linens, gold chargers and accessorizing candles to set the mood. We designed tall, elevated arrangements as well as smaller centerpieces. This reception room is also extremely spacious and grand, and we wanted to strategically design floral elements to compliment the space and its features.

These guest table florals were airy and light and full of greenery. We added in light-colored blooms that ranged from ivory to dusty rose, and made sure to bring the tall arrangements to life with spurts of greenery. For the head table, we put together a lush garland with the same organic feel. The theme of greenery continued at the staircase, which we embellished with plenty of smilax.

The personal florals for this bridal party are the epitome of sophistication and elegance. The light and bright bridesmaids bouquets paired with their black dresses made for some stunning contrast, and we love the texture of these bouquet ingredients. Heather’s bridal bouquet was the best of both worlds with matching white blooms and beautiful pops of pink.

We love curating the perfect design style and color palette for each and every bride we work with. It’s an added bonus when your venue has so much room, literally and figuratively, for all the concepts we could possibly dream up!

Bridal bouquet ingredients: Amnesia Roses, Quicksand Roses, Snowy Jewel Roses, white Ranunculus, Panda Anemones, Helebrore, white Astilbe, white Majolica Spray Roses, white Scabiosa, white Sweet Pea

Sarah + Jacob's Sweet Summer Barnhouse Wedding

Sarah and Jacob’s July wedding is the perfect example of a lush, light, and bright summer event. Texas summers bring a whole new meaning to the phrase “blushing bride,” and Sarah and her 14 (yes, 14!) bridesmaids looked stunning with their bouquets full of pastel-toned blooms. We collaborated with Jen Rios on this wedding; we always love helping her brides bring their visions to life! It was a joy to create sweet and summery floral elements for Sarah and Jacob.

After a ceremony at St. Patrick Cathedral, everyone headed to The Nest at Ruth Farms to celebrate the newlyweds! The barn that housed the reception is big and spacious with beautiful, simple details. We designed centerpieces and tall greenery arrangements to accessorize the guest tables and a garland embellished with flowers for the head table. This reception design was sweet and elegant with delicate touches that we just love!

Both the floral centerpieces and the greenery gave so much life and texture to this airy venue space and brought some lovely summer dew and brightness indoors! The delicate blooms in the arrangements and the garland paired beautifully with the elegant, gold-accented place settings. We love how the taller arrangements bring the eyes up and add so much dynamism to the room. Greenery can make a great statement just as well as flowers!

Finally, we want to touch on one very special detail, and the element that accompanies the bride all day: her bouquet. Sarah’s bouquet had the perfect combination of blush, lavender, and blue flowers with delicate touches of greenery. This light and sweet bouquet perfectly accessorized our blushing bride!

The night ended with the newlyweds being sent off by their loving guests with sparklers and escaping in their getaway car! You can see more in their lovely video here.

Although all weddings come to an end, we love being a part of the lasting memories created with the help of wedding photography. Flowers can truly make whatever venue you choose feel like your own custom wedding destination and will live on forever in your photos. Whether you’ve been eyeing your dream venue for years or are an out-of-town bride like Sarah, we can promise to put your mind at ease when it comes to the event design so you can be truly wowed when you walk into your own reception.

Bouquet ingredients: blush Peonies, pink Garden Roses, lavender Sweet Pea, blue Tweedia, white Majolika Spray Roses, lavender Scabiosa, white Butterfly Ranuculus, ivory Roses, Huckleberry greenery

Feminine and Modern: Our Dream Color Palette at The Emerson

Of all the palettes in the endless color universe, neutral and blush tones are our personal favorites. This styled shoot at The Emerson is a beautiful, bold, and modern take on some classic feminine shades. We absolutely loved working with an amazing group of vendors to create something out of a bride’s wedding dreams.

This event design is such a great mix of clean lines and simple elements with bold colors and interesting textures. This centerpiece features statement blooms such as brownie peonies and plenty of shades of nude and blush. Strategically placed greenery brings the piece to life, and two small frog arrangements complete the tablescape on either side of the arrangement. The simple and timeless table accessories are the perfect romantic touches that really let the flowers shine.

The Emerson venue is a modernized version of the classic white chapel and has mid century-modern elements, like sputnik light fixtures and black accents. These photos feature both a white brick background and a mauve backdrop, and both make these flowers and table setup pop!

The bridal bouquet we designed for this shoot is a translation of the textural design and color palette seen in the table arrangements. Full of depth and shades of nude, blush, and ivory, this bouquet is the perfect accessory for the modern bride.

Every wedding is a mix of personal style influence and all the scrolling that has been done on Pinterest and Instagram. We love helping our brides curate their perfect floral vision and hope that these photos serve as inspiration for couples looking to incorporate modern elements into their wedding!

Abby + Joel’s Lush Summer Wedding

As soon as our team met Abby we all instantly clicked. Her sweet and energetic personality was a joy to be around, and her contagious smile lights up a room! We had the privilege of both coordinating and providing the floral design for her and Joel’s big day. Abby was eager to add florals to her wedding in a way that was both impactful and unique to the venue-which is music to our ears! We decided to design a few large scale garden-style installations and arrangements, then layer in small, thoughtful details to create a balanced look. This wedding was so wonderful!

On a warm summer evening, Abby and Joel wed in Rustic Grace’s vintage-inspired chapel. At the altar, the two stood inside an organic semi-circle of greenery and blooms growing up around them. This made for the most whimsical backdrop during their heartfelt ceremony. Afterward, the reception was held in the venue’s silos. Organic-style tall arrangements anchored the room, while modern glass lanterns, gold votives, and bud vases added an elegant touch to the natural rustic backdrop.

Abby wanted her bouquet to be overflowing with fluffy blooms and delicate textures. We combined pink peonies with roses, scabiosa, and spray roses, then layered in anemones for a striking pop. We let greenery and dainty textures like sweet pea dance above the focal blooms, giving an airy feel to the luscious compilation.

Bouquet ingredients: Kiera garden rose, blush peony, Sweet Eskimo rose, white Majolika Spray rose, Panda Anemones, pink Scabiosa, Sweet Pea, white Tweedia, white Ranunculus, Seeded Eucalyptus, Huckleberry greenery
