Event Design Fit for Royalty: Jewel Tones and Elegant Gold Accents

We’re always so excited to create something special for the styled shoots we participate in. We love the aspect of collaboration with other vendors to create beautiful inspirational photos for our brides. We wanted to document a shoot we designed flowers for at Chateau Cocomar in Houston. This color palette was centered on jewel tones and we love how elegant and luxurious the flowers and venue make these photos feel!

A French-style estate, Chateau Cocomar is extravagant and ornate with an old-world feel. Its tall arched doorways and windows are timeless and added to the regal feel of this shoot. Any bride who steps foot in this venue will feel like royalty and will need luxurious flowers to match!

Our centerpieces paired beautifully with gold-accented glassware and simple place settings to create a lush tablescape with rich details. We love the idea of vibrant, statement floral arrangements accompanied by delicate cutlery and glassware. Especially in a venue as lavish and grand as this one, we love designing tablescapes that will give guests an intimate atmosphere.

The floral elements of this shoot were designed with that jewel-toned palette in mind and with plenty of lush greenery. This bridal bouquet is full of organic-style greenery and delicate ivory blooms with touches of rich red and purple flowers. It’s the perfect accessory to pair with this stunning white gown.

A wedding is a culmination of so many different elements, and we love providing floral designs that will perfectly complement our brides and their venue on their big day. There is no shortage of possibilities for flowers and event design, and this shoot embodies such a classic and opulent vision! You can visit our Instagram for more inspiration!

Karina + Gabe's Romantic Vineyard Wedding

Gabe and Karina’s wedding was brimming with lovely details and cheerful celebration. This fun and quirky couple radiated joy, and were so much fun to design for! They knew what they liked, yet were trusting and open to new and creative ideas. We worked alongside their planner, Shannon Ducker of Shannon Rose Events, to bring a vision of sophisticated garden romance to life. Shannon’s organized attention to detail and eye for timeless design were a huge part of this unforgettable day!

Gabe and Karina wed atop the crest of Dove Ridge Vineyard, overlooking a beautiful view of rolling Texas hills. Classic white planter boxes lined the aisle, and organic urn arrangements situated atop white pedestals defined the altar. The two shared personalized vows reflecting on their journey through friendship and love.

We love Dove Ridge’s Spanish-inspired reception hall. Deep brown exposed beams outline the space, while wrought-iron chandeliers embellish the lofty ceilings. The room is filled with large windows letting you take in the scenic vineyard around you. The tables were dressed in french blue tablecloths and naturally-colored chargers, punctuated with lush floral centerpieces. Elevated arrangements overflowing with greenery sat overhead on clear glass vases, while rosy-hued compote arrangements and bud vases were placed at eye level. This made for a night that was a beautiful reflection of the couple as they celebrated with guests.

It was a joy to work with these two on their wedding day to bring all the class and romance! We love the challenge of working at different venues and accommodating different tastes and styles; it’s always so rewarding to see how many beautiful memories our couples and their guests make together.

Courtney + Josh's Southern Summertime Wedding

Thinking back to this sweet southern wedding, we can’t help but smile! We met Courtney and Josh after they booked their summer wedding at Rustic Grace Estates, a delightful venue complete with a vintage barn, silos, and little white chapel. This kind and easy-going pair wanted to celebrate alongside their guests with a thoughtful ceremony and a lighthearted evening of fellowship with those dearest to them.

Courtney wanted her florals to have an air of southern charm, while still feeling as if they were hand-tied from the garden. We chose fluffy peonies and ranunculus for the focal blooms and tucked delicate stems of wildflowers in to give a touch of whimsy. Pops of dark green foliage complemented the navy bridesmaid dresses and completed the garden-inspired look.

The ceremony was held in the charming on-site chapel. Overlooking a serene landscape of a lake and roaming longhorn cattle, the two shared traditional wedding vows in front of our classic wooden cross with floral garland laced across it: a sweet reminder of the faith they both share as they took this next step together. This beautiful ceremony space, paired with floral touches and full of family, is the perfect place to say “I do!”

We adore all of the opportunities we get to embellish our couples and their venue for such a special celebration. These two were a joy!

Kelsey + Brodie's Modern Ballroom Wedding at Knotting Hill Place

We had the pleasure of providing full-service coordination and design for Brodie and Kelsey Smith’s wedding. Brodie is known for his insane frisbee skills, and Kelsey is a talented Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, so together they have a naturally fun dynamic. Even their proposal video is filled with excitement and is definitely worth a watch (watch it here!).

Being such bold personalities, these two were up for taking things up a notch. So, when it came to wedding planning, they were trusting and open to new ideas. We wanted the space to reflect this fun, outgoing couple while complimenting their luxurious venue. We landed on a modern ballroom style, overflowing with deep green foliage, crisp white blooms, and fluffy pampas grass accents for a modern flair.

Kelsey walked down an aisle lined with overgrown greenery and the couple shared their vows under a lavish floral-adorned halo arch. The beauty continued into the reception, with elevated arrangements, black compote centerpieces, and a floral install that practically “grew” up the grand staircase. The bridal party dined under modern greenery arches suspended above the head table, creating an intimate garden-inspired space within the spacious ballroom. Black velvet linens were a soft juxtaposition against contemporary ghost chairs at each place setting.

The beauty and fun continued all throughout the night! A performance of the DCC’s signature ‘Thunderstruck’ dance routine (which the bride herself led) kicked off the party! In10city band kept guests on the dance floor all evening, and the night ended with an elaborate firework display. To top this amazing night off, Brodie surprised Kelsey with a brand new Mercedes as a wedding present and getaway car — such an exciting end to a memorable day!

We loved helping this couple put together the wedding celebration of their dreams and curating the floral elements to match!

Nara + Travis's Greenery and Texture-Filled Wedding at Whiskey Ranch

Nara and Travis’s wedding is a day we like to reflect on often, and the photos still make us swoon! We worked closely with their planner, Ashley Mason of Saunter Weddings and Design, who thoughtfully curated every detail of this day. Together we created an event design that was a nod to their favorite vacation destination (in the Pacific Northwest) and the bride’s personal style. Between the gorgeous design aesthetic, this wonderful couple, and the amazing vendor team, this day was a joy to be a part of!

The personal flowers were an artful deconstruction of Nara’s texture-filled bouquet. With each bridesmaid carrying a bouquet composed of a single textural ingredient, we were able to creatively highlight the unique variety of carefully selected blooms for the day.

There were so many beautiful floral accents throughout this wedding. Greenery trailed through the chandeliers and pillars, wrapped around door frames, and a lush freestanding arch grew around the fireplace. The table design included ikebana-style floral moments and textural arrangements styled atop cool grey linens and suede runners. What a beautiful day!

Whether our couples are looking for bold statement arrangements or simple accessorizing touches, we love providing the blooms to match the love and excitement of their special day. Nara and Travis’s elegant ceremony and celebration were no exception!
