Donna + Peter's Autumnal Louisiana Wedding

Donna and Peter met their friends and family at the groom’s childhood home in Louisiana to celebrate their wedding, and we worked with Gathered Events to design an elegant autumnal ceremony and reception - a mix of cool mauve tones and warmer berry and brown blooms.

For the ceremony, we designed a winding aisle with color blocked arrangements with moss accents. This led to a meadow-style design at the altar - arrangements on pedestals surrounded by clusters of more color-blocked flowers trailing out on each side. These were full of lots of texture and grasses.

Transitioning to the reception, the seating chart was set up next to a pond on the property - two metal frames on either side of a canoe, embellished with floral clusters and holding cards with names and table numbers. The reception was tented, so we used fall branches to help conceal the poles and add height and texture to the space, which was full of guest tables with a mix of solid blush and patterned linens.

We added meadow-style arrangements growing up from some of the tables, and lots of colored candles - amber etched glasses, dusty rose taper candles, gold holders - to add more texture to the tabletops. This was such a fun yet elegant mix of colors and motifs that blended perfectly with the backdrop of the family home.

The bridal bouquets were the perfect mix of all the berry, mauve, taupe and purple shades, designed in an organic style perfect for fall and the bridesmaids’ mismatched muted pink gowns.
