Devon + Nathan's Moody Autumnal Wedding at Hotel Drover

Couple Devon and Nathan had a dreamy September wedding at Hotel Drover in Fort Worth full of moody, autumnal flowers and details. We worked with Shannon of Shannon Rose Events to bring this rich color palette to life in the perfect way - with touches of western inspiration and lots of texture.

The ceremony was held outdoors at a beautiful, perfectly-wooded altar site, where we designed a pair of floral pillars with ground arrangements mimicking a meadow of flowers at their bases. These were full of textural accents, greenery, and blooms in white, browns and burgundy. Down the aisle, lush arrangements were placed at each row’s end and added so much volume and drama with Texas grasses and lots of variety in the flowers.

For the cocktail hour, we designed some floral accents for the seating chart, which held leather squares with table arrangements. Arrangements of mostly light, bright blooms popped against the bar setup, which was almost entirely dark wood. Amaranthus trailed down the front, for another dramatic, elegant touch.

The reception was held inside, and the Drover’s space allowed for elongated arrangements hanging from the ceiling on thick rope. These were “clouds” of textures - greenery and baby’s breath - instead of flowers. We designed similar arrangements that were placed at the bases of the wooden pillars in the space. 

On the guest tables, centerpiece arrangements were designed for low, black bowls and featured a lot of rich, chocolate shades. Touches like lamplight, lots of candles, and colored glassware made these tablescapes more interesting and layered.

The bridal party carried bouquets with mostly bright white and ivory flowers and just touches of deeper, moody tones, which balanced perfectly with the bridesmaids’ chocolate-colored gowns. Devon’s bouquet had a few unique pops of texture and blush tones.
