Kaleigh + David's Summer Wedding: Natural Touches and Bold Colors

For Kaleigh and David’s ceremony and reception at Scarbrough Haven in Dallas, we worked with Shannon Rose Events to execute the perfect mix of organic, natural-feeling touches and refined decor details, all in a rich summertime color palette.

For the ceremony, we designed collections of single-flower arrangements to sit at the start of the aisle in mismatched baskets. A deconstructed arch of branches, greenery, blooms and colored foliage in ceramic pots framed the altar, in between two vertical beams that were covered with greenery for even more of the natural, lush style.

The reception was held in the same space, which was transformed during cocktail hour — the head table served as the centerpiece of the room, with a textural overhead garland on black stands. Beneath, we added a mix of plants, floral frog arrangements and amber votives for a mix of contrasting warm and cool touches. For another statement moment, the deconstructed arch framed the cake, along with neutral curtains for some added drama.

Long guest tables on either side held petite arrangements, potted plants and candles that mimicked the head table, and the round tables around the room had either compote arrangements or terra cotta bud vases with candles. These centerpieces featured the full range of neutrals and brighter statement shades, and lots of natural-feeling textures. Details like blue flatware, mauve and beige linens, and leather-wrapped menus made the guest tables feel even more refined and polished.

Kaleigh’s bouquet featured all the lightest and brightest elements of the day’s flowers — blush Peonies, blooms in shades of peach and pops of purple. Her dress had floral appliques and altogether her look was the perfect match for the garden inspiration of the whole event.
