Brenda + Brian's Dimensional Fall Wedding with Outdoor Reception

Brenda and Brian had an October wedding at the Hillside Estate with an fall-time palette of oranges, reds and yellows for their indoor ceremony and outdoor reception - we worked with Gathered Events on this stunning classic autumnal design and love the texture and warm tones that made everything feel organic and elegant!

For the ceremony, we designed an oversized asymmetrical floral arch of color-blocked clusters of autumn tones, and let the light wooden arch pop through in spots for added texture. The flowers extended in front of the arch to span out from the altar, which made this a dramatic statement moment. The aisle had ground arrangements lining each side, almost connecting directly to those extending from the arch.

The weather couldn’t have been better for Brenda and Brian’s outdoor reception on the venue’s patio, and was marked with floral-covered columns as a grand entryway. All the guest seating was accommodated by two long tables, which we decorated with compote arrangements with a mix of amber and burgundy candles and fruit styled around them. These were beneath the venue’s cafe lights strung overhead, and we accented these with fall-toned foliage. For even more floral impact, we added ground arrangements to the ends of the tables.

The newlyweds sat at a sweetheart table in front of the fireplace, where we installed a floral-and-foliage garland, and a waterfalling floral arrangement down one side of the table. This was a great focal point for the outdoor space, especially as framed by the tables and cafe lights. We incorporated even more flowers for the cake display - an arrangement trailing down the table and a ground arrangement in front for more volume.

The bouquets were designed in an organic style and focused on the lighter side of the palette - soft orange, butter yellow, taupe and pops of red. With the bridesmaids in yellow, this was the perfect light and bright moment that still had dimension and tied in with the warmth of the rest of the event.

Jennifer + John Dylan's Blush and Lavender Early-Autumn Wedding

The Hillside Estate is a venue that can perfectly suit any time of year, and it was the perfect backdrop for Jennifer and John Dylan’s early fall wedding of soft shades like blush, mauve and lavenders. This color palette and the textures we focused on felt like a unique summer-into-autumn design.

The Hillside has stunning ceremony spaces both indoors and outdoors, and the chapel in the building has a wall full of windows that slant with the vaulted ceiling for natural light that helps complete the vibe every time - we designed ground arrangements to line the aisle and also form a semicircle (with some height) as the focal point at the altar, along with a white wooden cross.

In the reception area, we added flowers to the stage facade for a touch of lushness, and designed bud vase centerpieces for the guest tables. The head table had another lush floral installation - a garland down the center that looked like a garden of Dahlias and Roses mixed with dainty textures and greenery. This featured the full range of colors from blush to blue and lavender and felt whimsical and elegant!

The bridal party’s bouquets were also textural and designed to look very organic and like garden-style bundles - Cosmos, Sweet Pea and Clematis tied in with the bridesmaids’ mismatched blue-green gowns.

Bridal Bouquet ingredients: Blush Dahlia, Amnesia Roses, Quicksand Roses, Blush Lisianthus, Blush Ranunculus, White Cosmos, Orlaya, Blue Tweedia, Lavender Sweet Pea, Lavender Clematis, Variegated Mini Pittisporum

Heather + Hunter's Modern Black-and-White Summer Wedding

Heather and Hunter had a June wedding at The Hillside Estate, and the floral design and decor took inspiration from the bride’s black diamond engagement ring - we leaned into bright neutrals for the flowers themselves and tied in black details to give this a fresh and modern feel.

At the venue’s entrance, guests were welcomed with a sign paired with a low floral arrangement, framed by the double staircases accented with vines of greenery. The ceremony in the chapel was designed with ground arrangements and candles to line the aisle, leading up to a semi-circle of flowers at the altar, also made up of ground arrangements that the couple stood in.

For the reception, the head table was designed as a focal point with black linens and bright floral arrangements lining its center, along with two ground arrangements at its ends. Guest tables were covered with white linens and low arrangements growing up from the table - we opted for no vases to give the appearance of a small meadow of flowers at the centerpieces. We also added touches of flowers on the top of a small cake and a floral accent on the groom’s “golf ball” cake display.

The bouquets were designed in a manicured, organic style, with symbolism in the flower choices - Calla Lillies and Tulips, each to honor the bride’s mother and new mother-in-law since they were featured in their bridal bouquets. Panda Anemones added the perfect touch of black to the white blooms!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: white Cloud Garden Roses, Playa Blanca Roses, white Mini Calla Lillies, white Fringe Tulips, white Majolica Spray Roses, white Ranuculus, white Sweet Pea, white Stock, white Limonium, Nagi Greenery

Ashley + William's Whimsical Springtime Wedding at The Hillside Estate

Ashley and William’s wedding at The Hillside Estate was designed in a pastel yet vibrant palette of lavenders and blues, with touches of other seasonal shades like yellow and peach - whimsical floral and decor elements made this ceremony and reception both playful and elegant.

The venue’s indoor chapel was the backdrop for the ceremony and an arch at the altar was accented with ground arrangements - lush greenery and purple Wisteria made this feel straight out of a garden, and more arrangements marked the start of the aisle. Smaller compote designs dotted the aisle along the pews.

The guests’ seating chart was a colorful statement in the cocktail hour space, with pink-purple place cards and a tree and blooms painted on the sign. We added some organic-style ground arrangements in front to give this more dimension. An asymmetrical floral installation on the outdoor fireplace was the backdrop for the bar, which was also framed by baskets of single-stem arrangements - another garden-inspired touch.

The reception was full of round and rectangular guest tables, with either compote arrangements or bud vases styled with pink taper candles - another pop of color for the sage green patterned linens.

Garden-style bouquets - lots of delicate textures and movement - complimented the bridal party’s neutral palette, and Ashley’s bouquet was wrapped in hand-painted ribbon for the perfect personal touch!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Kiera Garden Rose, Purple Clematis, Bush Butterfly Ranuculus, Quicksand Rose, Patience Garden Rose, Peach Ranuculus, Blue Tweedia, White Sweet Pea, Lavender Sweet Pea, Variegated Mini Pittisporum

Erin + Spencer's Colorful Midsummer Wedding at D'Vine Grace Vineyard

Erin and Spencer got married at D’Vine Grace Vineyard - a staple in North Texas with picturesque Italian-inspired indoor and outdoor spaces, perfect for a mid-summer wedding. We coordinated and designed a summery yet soft and elegant ceremony and reception in a palette of pink, peach, blue and purple tones.

The outdoor ceremony was held at a pergola that we designed around - blooms and greenery accented the structure and sat behind the altar. Low ground arrangements decorated the aisle to add to the natural, lush, garden-inspired look and the venue’s own grove of trees was the perfect backdrop!

At the indoor reception space that hosted dinner, a long rectangular head table was the center of the room, with a full-length floral garland made up of round arrangements and colored taper candles tucked in for more subtle pops of color. Guest tables carried on a similar vibe with bud vases as centerpieces and more candles. A ring of flowers sat at the base of the cake for another sweet floral touch!

Blooms like Chamomile, Tweedia and Ranunculus made Erin’s bridal bouquet playful and colorful - perfectly accented by her bridesmaids’ mismatched gowns. A floral collar for a furry ring bearer was the final touch of flowers for this bridal party!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: white Cosmos, Kiera Garden Roses, Sweet Esicmo Roses, blue Tweedia, Lavender Clematis, Chamomile, white Majolica Spray Roses, Lavender Sweet Pea, yellow Lisianthus, Peach Ranuculus
