Immersive and Lush: Spring Styled Shoot at The Nest at Ruth Farms

This week we’re sharing some dreamy photos from a super unique styled shoot we put together at The Nest at Ruth Farms with Silent Tea Events, Amanda Lane Photography, and a group of other great vendors. This concept was full of spring-only blooms, modern elements, and interesting textures and hues.

For the focal point of the ‘reception’ area, we built a structure above the table that held a modern garden installation of blooming branches. This install created the most immersive, organic-feeling setting, which we built upon with low compote arrangements down the length of the table. The whole table design was relatively neutral but these arrangements added in subtle pops of purple and pink. Dark wooden chairs, a pink runner and gold and white flatware rounded out this simple yet interesting table design to have the perfect understated spring feel.

We designed another statement piece: an asymmetrical installation that framed the doorway, made of the same branches as the table installation. This venue is so perfectly neutral in its color scheme and finishes for a simple and natural yet romantic design. We love that sometimes we end up foraging small or large pieces of our designs ourselves - these pieces in particular were thanks to some last-minute foraging!

The bridal bouquet for this shoot was so texturally interesting yet simple at the same time, and utterly sophisticated. The pops of purple and mauve gave it that color and dimension and also brought the romance! This bouquet looked stunning with the bride’s lace-y, flowing gown and fits right in with the overall floral design vision.

Amanda + Jon's Classic Yet Modern Cinderella Wedding

This week we’re featuring a summer wedding that perfectly combined a bright, airy and classic vibe with some punchy jewel tones and modern touches! Amanda and Jon’s July wedding at The Milestone Aubrey was like a scene out of a modern-day Cinderella - so elegant and magical - and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

For the ceremony, we designed an arrangement to decorate a dark brown cross at the altar, which stood out and looked so graceful against the large wall of windows in this space. On either side of the cross, we built two tall arrangements with classic round lines and that brought in some more pops of pink and purple. These sat on clear vases, which added an element of minimalism and sophistication.

To tie everything together in this gorgeous ceremony space, we put together miniature bouquets that mimicked the same style as the altar arrangements to tie to chairs down the aisle. We find that this is a great way to add in some more color, texture, and beauty for a ceremony on a small scale and in a way that doesn’t distract from the altar setup!

This wedding party looked stunning, and we had so much fun thoughtfully designing their personal floral elements. For the groom and groomsmen, who sported tuxedos, we kept the boutonnieres fresh and simple. The bridesmaids wore beautiful Cinderella-blue gowns, and their bouquets couldn’t have complimented the color better! Amanda’s bridal bouquet was so bright and classic, full of neutral blooms and the perfect strategic touches of fuchsia. It looked so stunning with her modern bright white gown!

Simone + Drew's Vibrant Summertime Wedding

We love playing with fun combinations of bright colors, especially in the summertime! Drew and Simone’s wedding became a perfect opportunity for us to put together lots of floral elements with punchy colors that still looked very organic and classic. This color palette had great unique shades of red and coral that made a huge statement in the flowers, tablescapes, and the bridal party’s dresses! As the coordination team for this wedding, it was especially fun to see the full vision come together!

These two had a beautiful outdoor ceremony with the most gorgeous weather and blue skies! We designed a large floral arch for the altar and lined the aisle with voluminous ground arrangements in white planted that added to the overall brightness of the space, along with the white chairs. These flowers brought the organic style in but also made the setup feel classic and timeless with the white blooms and greenery.

In the reception space, we put together a collection of tall arrangements, low compare arrangements, and other floral touches. The tall arrangements were designed with that manicured style in mind, and took on softer, rounder lines with plenty of greenery tucked in. The gold stands that these sat on, along with the gold furniture, really brought elegance to the space. White linens and candles added to the upscale feel too!

Other guest tables had smaller arrangements in gold vases that utilized the same punchy color palette and unique blooms. We created another special floral moment to act as a centerpiece for the seating assignment cards on a round table. This installation was so dynamic and fun, with red, yellow, and orange wild blooms. The cake was a statement itself, too! It was another great moment of the reds and oranges perfectly complementing all of the gold accents.

Simone’s bridal bouquet had to be a stunning extension of this vibrant floral concept, and was filled with orange Dahlias, Red Tree Peonies, and other statement blooms! It was such a fun and bold complement to her dress!

Laura + Josh's Timeless Summer Ballroom Wedding

Laura and Josh’s light and airy summertime wedding is the feature of this week’s blog - we can’t get enough of this natural, garden-inspired color palette! We loved contributing to this sweet couple’s wedding, which was held at The Room on Main in downtown Dallas. This venue, with stunning high ceilings and outstanding natural light pouring in, was a perfect fit for this fresh and bright design.

For the ceremony, we designed two large elevated arrangements filled with pink and nude blooms among greenery. These served as crucial elegant staples that accented the neutral venue space — they brought some drama while also coming across as sophisticated and classic! Later on in the evening, similar overhead arrangements anchored the reception setup on the wedding party’s head table.

As for the rest of the table design elements, the timeless and elegant feminine theme remained consistent through the use of gold accents, delicate touches of pink, and sprigs of greenery. We designed low compote arrangements for the round guest tables, and incorporated stemmed floating candles for that whimsical and elegant feel. With our collection of floral accessory items, vases and candle holders, we have pieces that fit every style we could design in - and they help complete the overall look every time!

Laura’s bridal bouquet was a lush and beautifully feminine collection of fluffy and delicate floral textures. It followed the same organic-style design as the whole event but was manicured to accent the beautiful bride perfectly! Her bridesmaids’ bouquets followed suit and looked made to fit their nude-blush gowns. So stunning!

Samantha + John's Springtime Wedding at the Nasher

This week we’re bringing all the details on the prettiest spring-sunset wedding design to the blog. Samantha and John’s March wedding was the perfect embodiment of mauve, orange, rust and dusty rose sunset vibes and we couldn’t be more in love! This ceremony and reception were set at the Nasher — a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding — and planned by the lovely Keestone Events!

The color palette for these floral elements was built on a more typical foundation of spring and sunset shades, but was made totally unique and artistic with touches of richer rust and teal tones. For the ceremony, we designed arrangements that lined the aisle, voluminous with all kinds of texture. These led up to the altar area, where we built a circle arch full of lush greenery and sunset-toned blooms.

The reception was held outside at the Nasher, in a stunning area where guests sat among trees and strings of lights. Natural-style elements were incorporated into this setup, with wooden chairs and neutral tablecloths. Our centerpiece arrangements and head table garland incorporated all of the great texture and color seen at the ceremony, and were accented perfectly but deep teal napkins as a part of the place settings. All tables were decorated with candles to bring in that dreamy sunset glow and up the coziness and intimacy!

Samantha’s bouquet was a perfect extension of the sunset color concept and incorporated extra-interesting and dynamic textures. We packed it with blooms in a mix of muted tones and pops of color, and added in just a touch of eucalyptus. The bride’s and bridesmaids’ bouquets popped even more paired with the party’s mauve gowns!
