Megan + Nic's Textural Summer Wedding at The Hillside Estate

Megan and Nic’s wedding at The Hillside Estate was texture-filled and played off of fresh neutral tones and lots of greenery for dramatic floral statements that still felt soft and natural. We love how this whimsical mix of neutral and blush textures turned out — especially with other decor details and personal touches!

In the ceremony space leading up to the altar, six tall arrangements filled with blooming branches, Delphinium and Larkspur lined the aisle — they each sat on clear acrylic stands for added height and airiness. We designed ground arrangements for the altar that created a meadow effect surrounding a white wooden cross.

For cocktail hour, we embellished the venue’s outdoor space with some simple greenery touches on the fireplace mantle and floral clusters added to the ferris wheel seating chart display — a nod to the couple’s first kiss story!

Megan and Nic had a sweetheart table at the reception, which we designed a trailing floral garland for — a romantic, lush touch that, with candles at the base, created the perfect statement moment. Long guest tables held the repurposed tall arrangements from the ceremony and bud vases paired with sage taper candles — a subtle pop of color. Petite arrangements and candles decorated the round tables.

Megan’s bouquet was a culmination of all the best textures and tones from the ceremony and reception flowers — white Ranunculus, taupe Lisianthus and Brownie Sweet Pea for a pop to break up the neutrals. Calcynia added in the perfect touch of green and texture to balance out the Roses and Peonies.
