Caitlin + Zach's Classic and Elegant Wedding at The Hillside Estate

Caitlin and Zach’s wedding at The Hillside Estate has such an elegant neutral color palette that still said “summer” with a light and airy mix of cream and taupe tones and pops of black — a modern spin on a classic palette. The details, driven by the team at Gathered Events, were so gorgeous and gave this event an element of sophistication.

The ceremony had a natural-style arch growing up from the ground — baby’s breath was a mainstay throughout this entire wedding and was first featured here for a subtle statement at the altar. Pink roses were tucked throughout for soft pops of color. We also designed ground arrangements for the start of the aisle and added clusters of pillar candles along with rose petals down the aisle.

For cocktail hour after the ceremony, we designed a greenery installation on the outdoor mantle and two small arrangements to embellish the champagne seating chart that flanked the fireplace. The simple addition of greenery and candles can make a space like this feel that much more upscale.

The reception had the perfect airy yet intimate and moody feel, especially after dark, with furniture and linens in light neutrals, plentiful baby’s breath and pillar, taper and floating candles. We designed a mix of tall and low arrangements for the guest tables, and some were complemented by bud vases of Anemones for a pop of black. A high-volume garland of baby’s breath and ivory flowers sat on the head table, layered over a gorgeous floral-applique tablecloth.

This bridal party carried long-stem bouquets of stunning roses that brought such classic and elegant style, along with light taupe gowns.

Lexi and Gabe's Ultra-Vibrant, Colorful Wedding at Knotting Hill Place

This wedding for Lexi and Gabe at Knotting Hill Place was such an embodiment of the bride’s sweet, bubbly personality, centered around bright, summer-y shades of pink and coral. It was truly a color explosion with lots of floral elements throughout the venue.

For the ceremony, we designed elevated arrangements that lined the aisle on glasses vases and acrylic pedestals for height that created grandeur and made the bright-colored blooms pop even more in the neutral space and clear chairs. These had a fun summer-garden feel, with greenery to balance out the pink, coral and white statement flowers. The altar also featured a subtle floral touch — an arrangement on a wooden cross.

In the reception space, tall arrangements on gold stands made statements throughout the room and added so much vibrance. Lots of candlelight was paired with these vivid floral elements to create the perfect intimate atmosphere for this evening wedding. We also embellished the staircase with lush greenery laced through the bannister and a ground arrangement of the same bright pink shades with pops of white.

Lexi’s bridal bouquet had to be the epitome of this vibrant summer style, so we designed it to feature all the best blooms that made a statement both in texture and color impact. Coral Charm Peonies were the stars of the show and were combined with rose varieties, Ranunculus and Huckleberry greenery for this gorgeous bride’s ultimate accessory. Her bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets that were just as vibrant and were allowed to really shine in contrast with their neutral beige gowns.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Coral Charm Peonies, Piaget Garden Roses, Playa Blanca Roses, Free Spirit Roses, Conquista Roses, Hot Pink Ranunculus, Pink Majolica Spray Roses, Pink Sweet Pea, Limonium, Camelia Greenery, Huckleberry

Annie + Blaine's Elegant Summer Wedding at The Hillside Estate

Annie and Blaine had a sweet early-Summer wedding at The Hillside Estate with a light and bright palette of white and ivory blooms and touches of pink, along with airy Baby’s Breath and greenery. We worked with Gathered Events to bring this bride’s vision to life — which included incorporating lots of luxury statement blooms in combination with wildflowers all while playing up this gorgeous venue as a backdrop.

For the ceremony in The Hillside Estate’s tall-windowed chapel, we designed an arch at the altar with a mixed base of greenery and baby’s breath. Large-scale blooms added dimension and Delphinium, Spirea and Campanula brought in that wildflower inspiration. Petals and candles lined the aisle for extra floral flair and romance. Before the ceremony, though, this couple captured such a sweet first look in the venue’s stunning front room.

In the reception space, a statement installation on the mantle of the fireplace brought the same bright pink blooms outside and helped frame the head table — and the cake table, which we designed an arrangement of greenery and baby’s breath for.

Annie’s bridal bouquet tied together her requests for statement blooms and wildflowers with a modern feel — featuring bright peach Ranunculus and more neutral Peonies and Panda Anemones. Her bridesmaids wore deep jade-green gowns that made for the most elegant bridal party photos.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: blush Peonies, Kiera Garden Roses, Sweet Escimo Roses, Panda Anemone, peach Ranunculus, blue Tweedia, yellow Lisianthus, Spirea, Rice Flower, Huckleberry

Springtime Downton-Abbey-Inspired Outdoor Birthday Party

This should go without saying, but weddings aren’t the only opportunities to put on a big production and get all your friends and family together! We love working with clients to add show-stopping flowers to any special occasion — in this case, a fabulous 70th birthday celebration. We worked with Shannon of Shannon Rose Events to deck out the guest of honor’s home for a Downton Abbey-inspired party and adore how it turned out.

For the outdoor tent that held seating for guests, we designed an installation for the entrance that grew up from the ground and was filled with organic-style flowers and lots of lush greenery. This looked great with the lush treescape surround and made for a statement right off the bat. Inside, more organic-style floral designs lined the square tables in gold vases — layered on a neutral base of beige linens and wood-framed chairs.

A longer guest table layered blue and elegantly beaded linens. All of the tablescapes had thoughtful details — teal-and-white patterned chargers and gold flatware, along with gold votive holders and table numbers in gold frames. All of these touches created that eclectic, antique look. This party had lots of fun experiential elements for guests — including custom-embroidered handkerchiefs, silhouette cutouts and a vintage car, accented with a flower installation to turn it into the perfect photo op — all playing up the Downton Abbey influence.

On either side of the band’s stage, and at the seating chart table, large urn arrangements of Peonies, Roses and Passion Vines continued the elegant, upscale feel along with the color palette of ivory and blush tones.

This was such a bespoke, special birthday celebration and we love how the flowers and all the other details helped channel the style inspiration and create an immersive experience for this group of friends and family.

Jennifer + Paul's Classic, Romantic Wedding at Scottish Rite Cathedral

Jennifer and Paul had an original wedding date in April of 2020, held a rescheduled, intimate ceremony later that year and celebrated with all their friends and family in 2022 at Scottish Rite Cathedral in Dallas. We loved working with these two to coordinate their day and design flowers to deck out their wedding party and venue. Even given all the changes in plans along the way, they rolled with the punches and ended up having such a perfect celebration for themselves and their loved ones.

We designed the flowers with a soft, bright palette of neutrals, blush and pops of blue that was so fitting for this classic venue. The guest tables held small arrangements in gold vases and a mix of bud vases with flowers in shades of pink. For the head table, we designed tall arrangements for a statement.

The bridal party carried classic manicured bouquets full of petite romantic textures like pink Astilbe and blue Tweedia, again bringing in subtle pops of color. The bridesmaids wore black dresses that made a great statement with these blooms, and the whole wedding party got such stunning photos outside with the cityscape of Dallas as a backdrop.

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: white Peonies, Kiera Garden Roses, Playa Blanca Roses, Sweet Escimo Roses, Blush Butterfly Ranunculus, blue Tweedia, white Scabiosa, blush Astilbe, white Majolica Spray Roses, Huckleberry Greenery
