Jacklyn + Chandler's Classic Southern Ceremony and Reception

This week, we’re thrilled to share some details on a sweet yet refined “southern charm” style wedding for couple Jacklyn and Chandler. We took Jacklyn’s request for all-white flowers with an organic touch and designed bright, lush and classic statement pieces for both the ceremony and reception. The couple’s chosen venue, Dove Ridge Vineyard, was a big part of the overall rustic-yet-still-modern feel, with an outdoor covered ceremony space and a spacious reception room with huge windows and touches of warmth in the dark wood ceiling beams.

We had a beautiful outdoor space to work with for this couple’s ceremony, on a covered patio overlooking a stunning view. The fireplace served as a built-in focal point, and we embellished the mantel with a bright arrangement of white blooms and greenery. For some more drama, we lined the aisle with large arrangements that sat on modern white stands, and that included cascading garlands down the sides.

The reception was full of bright and fresh floral elements, from a statement overhead garland on the head table to a semicircle of ground arrangements surrounding the cake table. For the guest tables, we designed tall, manicured arrangements that sat on clear vases and created a great element of airiness. The head table garland was more of an installation than anything, and stretched 40 ft across!

The white bouquets for this bridal party were just as classic and tailored as the event design, and created the most beautiful effect with the bride’s white gown and her bridesmaids’ taupe dresses. These bouquets were made up of Peonies, Ranunculus and roses, with just a touch of greenery! We adored this couple and the way their classic southern-inspired wedding had just the right amount of drama!

Jackie + Michael's Upscale and Timeless Wedding

If you love more “old school” weddings that are timeless and elegant, this one’s for you! Jackie and Michael wed at the University Park Methodist Church and celebrated with friends and family at Park Cities Club afterward. We provided floral design for both halves of the event, and played off of the classy, upscale and traditional vibe of their venues!

For the ceremony, we designed two classic urn arrangements full of lavender and ivory blooms at the altar, and bundles of eucalyptus attached to the ends of the pews. Even in a church as grand, beautiful and ornate as this one, including flowers is so valuable, since they not only bring in the couple’s personality, but also set the tone for the event design that guests will experience at your reception later on. When you don’t have control over much when it comes to your ceremony space (if it’s held in a church), flowers are a simple way to create a more intimate and personal feel!

The reception, held at Park Cities Club, was made complete with sparing greenery, candles and touches of gold in lanterns, chairs and chargers. This space has a great element of personality on its own, so it wasn’t hard to round out the look and create an intimate feel at each guest table. The dark wood finishings in the room, the gold touches at the tables and greenery made for that classy, upscale country club feel.

Jackie’s bridal bouquet was another fun yet sophisticated pop of lavender and other purple hues. Balanced out with big white and ivory blooms and delicate touches of greenery, it made for a gorgeous light and bright accessory. The bridesmaids’ bouquets had similar ingredients, including some roses that matched their mauve-purple gowns almost perfectly. This bridal party was a vision of springtime beauty and class!

Amy + Alex's Upscale Picnic-Inspired Ceremony + Reception

If you took a perfect summer picnic under the sun, threw in a little sophistication and elegance, and invited plenty of friends and family, it would be Amy and Alex’s wedding! This week we’re sharing photos and details from this couple’s big day, which we designed flowers for. As you can imagine, it wasn’t too hard to get plenty of inspiration from this fruit market theme and run with it! We played with a charming mix of shades of blue and peach, and lots of dainty and delicate textures.

Amy and Alex’s ceremony was outdoors in a beautiful space at Bethel Rock, and the two wedded under a white wooden triangular structure, which we piled blooms and greenery onto the sides of. We designed two bigger arrangements to sit at the base of each side and then attached more to climb up the sides of the structure, which furthered the heightening effect and created the perfect garden vibe!

For the reception, we created a statement with the newlyweds’ sweetheart table, with two ground arrangements sitting at each front side, and a lush floral arrangement front and center on the table. The guest tables really brought the fruit market theme to life, and were covered in cheesecloth linens, blue taper candles, blueberries, and blue napkins and goblets. We brought in some brighter contrasting colors through the arrangements that lined the table, and the upscale picnic vibe was complete!

Amy’s bouquet was another star of the show: utterly sweet and romantic! We used Roses, Ranunculus, and a statement Peony or two to create a full yet delicate bridal bouquet. The bridesmaids’ followed suit with lots more pops of orange and blue!

Jessica + Charlie's Elegant Late-Summer Wedding

This week we’re sharing the details on Jessica and Charlie’s late-summer wedding that took place at multiple great Dallas locations, including Perkins Chapel at SMU and Level 2 Events. Their ceremony and reception both embodied elegance with just the right amount of modern flair in a color palette of light pink tones. The floral textures contributed to the overall style as well with blooms both lush and dainty!

The couple’s ceremony was held at Perkins Chapel, which had the perfect spots for two altar arrangements to anchor the space. These took on a manicured organic style and featured focal blooms like Hydrangea, roses and Stock, giving them that refined, round and lush look. These sat in gold vases on top of white stands, which kept the setup simple and modern and kept the focus on the flowers.

For the reception at Level 2 Events afterward, we designed two more tall arrangements to go on the head table that sat in glass vases and were accompanied by small arrangements down the tabletop. The rest of the tables for guests were decorated with low, lush compote arrangements and candles. These centerpieces had a unique mix of dainty flowers, and looked extra whimsical with votive and pillar candles tucked into them.

Jessica’s bouquet was the perfect mix of fun and refined, with lots of roses and Ranunculus! With the same stunning combination of blush, ivory and mauve as the other designs, her bouquet paired so well with her classic gown and minimalistic accessories! The bridesmaids made the color palette pop even more with their mauve dresses. “Summer elegance” describes this bridal party perfectly!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Kiera Garden Roses, Amnesia Roses, Quicksand Roses, blush Astilbe, mauve Hellebore, mauve Lisianthus, White Ranunculus, Blush Butterfly Ranunculus, Blush Yarrow, Huckleberry

Sip and See at The Hillside Estate

As a team that operates, although not exclusively, mostly in the DFW metroplex, it’s always a thrill when a new venue enters the picture in this area! We were so lucky to help The Hillside Estate celebrate their opening with a ‘Sip and See’ event that we designed flowers for. In partnership with one of the brilliant people behind the Hillside, and a wedding planner extraordinaire herself, Brittany Samford guided us in this vision for a light and bright springtime event to help show off this new venue!

With a unique color palette of golden butter yellow and peach tones with mauve and pops of red, the floral elements brought some sophisticated visual interest in all across the venue from the fireplace to the stairs. We embellished both of these areas with strategically-placed greenery that created an illusion of airiness. At the entrance, a large urn arrangement introduced this springtime color palette and complimented the staircase greenery.

In the venue’s reception space, we decorated the head table with small compote arrangements in black-and-white floral-printed vases, accompanied by simple and classic pillar candles. The guest tables held small bud vases and more candles, all among crisp white table linens and light blush cloth napkins.

In the Hillside’s gorgeous indoor ceremony room, with a stunning outdoor backdrop, we designed an organic-style arch at the altar, covered with greenery and embellished with plenty of blooms throughout. This piece featured one of our favorite and versatile elements: Peegee Hydrangea, which always seems to help tie together any color palette!

We were so excited to have contributed to the grand opening of this gorgeous new venue! Since its opening, we have already worked on several weddings at the Hillside and have become huge fans. We love how each and every venue has its own personality and opportunities for unique and impactful design moments!
