Sarah + Grant's Intimate Garden Elopement

This week we’re reminiscing over a gorgeous intimate elopement that may have been scaled down in terms of guest count, but not at all in the way of flowers! We love the idea of having a really personal ceremony and reception but still going all out with all of the wedding visions you’ve been dreaming about. We designed the flowers for this elopement with the crucial support of Keestone Events, which made that translation from vision to reality so seamless!

The ceremony was held in the courtyard of Crescent Court in Dallas, which has the perfect multicolored trees and stone structures for us to add a lush floral design to. That design was an overgrown-looking floral and greenery arch that we made asymmetrical with big blooms. Sarah and Grant wed right in front of this statement arch that also tied in with small arrangements scattered down the aisle. The featured ivory and blush flowers contrasted with the darker greenery and created such a striking and sophisticated design.

The reception was held in the same space, which was ‘flipped’ following the ceremony, where dining tables replaced the rows of chairs. The same arch served as a statement for the reception, and made a great backdrop for the cake table. The guest tables were decorated with the arrangements that had lined the aisle, and paired with a few gold accents, made for elegant and intimate table designs. Cocktail tables were accented with small bud vases, and almost every corner of this space had a touch of floral whimsy!

Sarah’s bouquet was a classy mix of blush, ivory, and sprigs of greenery that broke up the dense, lush blooms and added depth and dynamism. This bouquet had no shortage of some common favorites: Peonies, Garden Roses, and Ranunculus.

This couple’s elopement delivered on an utterly classic and garden-inspired atmosphere. With the right touches, a wedding can feel larger-than-life, no matter the guest count!

Martha + Brin's Dreamy Botanical Garden Ceremony

Today we’re sharing some details on Martha and Brin’s Springtime wedding at Clark Gardens in Fort Worth. This day was a joy to coordinate and design flowers for, thanks to this lovely couple and beautiful venue! We were thrilled to incorporate all of the color that Martha requested and had so much fun pairing lots of unique jewel tones and interesting textures together. From the plates and candle holders to the bridal party’s bouquets, this event was sprinkled with bursts of bright color. We love that sweet floral details popped up in places like the bride’s braid and in the drinks served at happy hour, too!

It’s always a fun journey to figure out the best way to incorporate permanent structures or installations that venues feature. Martha and Brin wed in front of Clark Gardens’ outdoor fountain, which we accented with a semi-circle of lush and voluminous colorful floral arrangements to frame the front of the fountain. This outdoor area was a gorgeous and natural landscape for this romantic ceremony!

For the reception, we marked the entrance with a large statement arrangement full of bright Tulips, inspired by an art installation that Martha saw and loved while traveling. We also placed fruit at the base of this arrangement as a nod to still life art. We decorated the guest tables with lush compote arrangements, and chose table decor that brought out specific jewel tones in the centerpieces and paired well with the soft blush table linens.

The bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets were the ultimate culmination of this bright and dynamic floral vision, with the bridesmaids accessorized by monochromatic warm-toned bouquets and Martha carrying one full of big, colorful blooms. This bridal party looked straight out of a botanical garden dream with their assorted purple, orange, and green dresses, and the bride’s fabric-flower-embellished gown!

Alexis + Austin's Sweet Springtime Ceremony and Reception

It’s no coincidence that springtime is widely considered to be “wedding season.” All the right flowers for a gorgeous, romantic ceremony and celebration are in full bloom this time of year! We love so much of what Spring typically represents: rebirth, new beginnings, and lots of soft, light and bright colors! Alexis and Austin’s wedding at The Nest at Ruth Farms was the epitome of a gorgeous, Springtime-appropriate wedding, thanks to the beautiful location and the design help of our friends at Gathered Events!

Gathered Events was integral in this wedding’s overall cohesive design, from choosing table details to making sure the decor meshed well with the venue’s look and feel. For the ceremony, we added vines of greenery to a structure at the altar, which overlooks a gorgeous lake and trees. This landscape plus the white touches of the altar structure and guest chairs made for the most fresh springtime event design!

For the reception, we had the Nest at Ruth Farms’ stunning white barn building as a canvas for floral and table design. The tables were decorated with a mix of patterned and solid mauve linens. This interesting incorporation of the color palette in the linens, along with other touches like gold chargers and dainty votives, made for a beautiful overall space design with many special moments throughout.

Tall arrangements with a tailored-garden feel accessorized the round tables, and the gold stands tied in with the other accents. We decorated the rectangular tables with more greenery vines and a mix of pillar and taper candles. Lastly, in the reception space, the sweetheart table was another focal point and perfect place for a floral statement! We designed a lush arrangement that spilled over the front of this table for two, and featured lots of fluffy, bright flowers!

Alexis’ bridal bouquet was full of bright romantic blooms and touches of deeper tones that were brought out by the groom’s tie and handkerchief and the bridesmaids’ gowns. This bride was absolutely glowing with confidence on her wedding day! We couldn't have been happier to be a part of this sweet couple’s ceremony + celebration!

Kelly + CJ's Blushing Spring Wedding

When you find your absolute dream venue, you might decide it’s worth turning your big day into a destination wedding! Our sweet couple CJ and Kelly came across Knotting Hill Place in Little Elm and fell in love, even though they don’t live in the area. KHP turned out to be the perfect place to gather all of their friends and family and tie the knot, and we were thrilled to decorate this venue that we love so much yet again!

Knotting Hill Place is notorious for its spacious rooms and high ceilings, and both its ceremony hall and reception ballroom are a florist’s dream for extravagant event floral design! For the ceremony, we designed an extra-lush arch covered in greenery and flowers in soft neutral and pink shades that looked so stunning with the white walls and curtains in this space. This room has gorgeous oversized windows that make everything look that much more angelic and elegant!

We had so much fun designing a full-staircase floral installation for the reception. We started with two large arrangements at the base of the stairs and wove greenery up the bannisters. This is where couples make their special entrance into the reception from the top floor, so it’s the perfect place to feature extra flowers!

For Kelly and her bridesmaids’ bouquets, we continued with the feminine ivory and blush palette, which looked so stunning with both the berry-colored dresses and the bride’s gown. Kelly’s bridal bouquet featured a modern and trendy cascade-style structure, with long vines of Italian Ruscus trailing down, and Roses and Ranunculus as the stars of the show! This wedding’s floral design was overall extra-romantic and elegant; perfect for this sweet couple!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Kiera Garden Roses, Vendela Roses, white Ranunculus, white Lisianthus, white Tweedia, Quicksand Roses, blush and white Majolica Spray Roses, Italian Ruscus

Colleen + Patrick's Classy Ballroom-Garden Reception

Colleen and Patrick’s wedding at the Mason in Dallas was a gorgeous take on spring pastels and neutrals with a unique mix of moodiness and dark accents. We’re so thrilled to look back on these gorgeous photos from earlier this year! In collaboration with Shannon Rose Events, we helped this couple curate a uniquely sophisticated, eclectic and luxurious ceremony and reception experience full of impactful details. We took Colleen’s affinity for ballroom-style wedding design and married it with garden-inspired elements to create this one-of-a-kind classy floral experience!

For the reception at the Mason that followed a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church, we designed several statement pieces that followed the theme of the personal florals that accessorized the wedding party. Four large elevated arrangements lined the head table on tall gold stands and featured lots of hydrangeas, greenery, and blush and mauve-toned blooms that coordinated with the place settings accessorized with mauve linens. Pillar and floating candles lined this long table to bring the intimacy in for this wedding party!

Throughout the rest of the reception space, guest table decor and a fireplace installation rounded out the design. For the fireplace mantle, we designed a lush, hydrangea-centered arrangement, full of the taupes, mauves and blushes seen elsewhere in the space. The guest tables were decorated with both candle and floral clusters, and low compote arrangements that brought in more gold accents with the vases. These arrangements created interest through both their combination of fluffy, voluminous flowers and dainty textures, and the palette of neutrals, pink tones, and burgundy. These floral elements were paired with other design choices such as dark black chairs and white table linens for some sophisticated and striking contrast.

Colleen’s bridal bouquet featured many of the same statement blooms from the reception designs, including rose varieties and chocolate cosmos. Showcasing the full range of colors featured throughout the event design, this bouquet was as classy and stunning as our bride!

Bridal Bouquet Ingredients: Cafe Latte Roses, Chiffon Garden Roses, white Orchids, Butterfly Ranunculus, Quicksand Roses,Sweet Eskimo Roses, white Majolika Spray Roses, Brownie Tulips, taupe Lisianthus, Red Copper Beach, Chocolate Cosmos, Mauve Helebore
