Devon + Nick's Garden-Inspired Soiree

The possibilities are endless for summer weddings! Whether you prefer soft and fresh, loud and colorful, or anything in between, your favorite colors and styles can take on a fun summer twist. Devon and Nick’s August wedding was full of garden-style delicate floral designs that brought so much elegance to the celebration!

Their ceremony was held at St. Patrick’s cathedral, and guests went on to the beautiful Ashton Depot venue for the reception afterward. We had so much fun designing and executing the floral statements in this room! For the head table, we put together an overhead garland full of bright yellow blooms and greenery that hung down. Underneath, we layered more greenery, bud vases, and candles down the table top.

On the guest tables, we designed some elevated arrangements, and balanced the room out with low compotes on others. The tall arrangements made a great statement in Ashton Depot’s space and were full of hydrangeas, roses, and lots of greenery to add to the organic feel. The low arrangements were in gold compotes which paired so well with the pops of color the flowers brought in.

Aside from the table design, we put together a staircase installation of greenery and flowers that seemed to grow up the stairs. It made for such a perfect way for the couple and their wedding party to enter this reception! We also added some floor arrangements around the cake table to contribute to the garden atmosphere. The venue’s intricate details and grand feel created a great mix of modern and classic style when decorated with these floral designs.

Devon’s bouquet was the epitome of fresh and colorful flowers, filled with peonies, rose varieties, and touches of blue Tweedia. The bridesmaids looked stunning with smaller versions of the bridal bouquet and light blue dresses. This wedding also featured two precious flower girls and we loved designing matching flower crowns for them!

This fresh and bright color palette was such a fun take on summer flowers and we love the way they accessorized this lovely couple and their venue.

Rachel + Anthony's Sunflower Summer Romance

Today we’re looking back on Rachel and Anthony’s warm and bright August wedding. This couple was so sweet and we brought the flowers to match! We curated a blend of romantic white blooms and pops of wildflowers, and they turned out so stunning and complimentary of the rustic and natural-styled venue.

We had so much fun with the palette we curated that included yellows, oranges, blues, and some neutral tones. Sunflowers were a special request of Rachel’s, so we were sure to include those! We decorated an outdoor floral arch with flowers and also created two arrangements that sat at the base of the stair banisters. The wood and natural elements of the venue complemented the wildflowers and the color palette so well!

The personal florals for this wedding party were so cheerful and fun. The bridesmaids, in hues of blue, carried bouquets that included sunflowers and greenery, with hanging silk ribbons that added more visual interest and were so fitting for this outdoor summer feel. Rachel’s bouquet was a dynamic combo of peonies, sunflowers, some blue blooms, and some sprawling greenery.

This couple and their wedding design were nothing short of sweet summer romance! We loved curating a special vision that fulfilled all of Rachel’s wishes and played to her personality. Summer weddings can take on so many different bright color palettes, and these warm-toned sunflower-centered designs were such a fun take!

Kylee + Matthew's Summer Wedding: Feminine and Lush

We’re looking back today on the sweet summer wedding of Kylee and Matthew, which we coordinated and designed flowers for. Their ceremony and reception were held at Ashton Depot, and was the start of our triumphant return to weddings after adjusting to pandemic life! Having postponed their spring wedding to August, this couple was more than ready to celebrate the start of their lives together with friends and family, and we couldn’t have been more excited to contribute to their big day.

The ceremony, held on Ashton Depot’s gorgeous outdoor patio, was full of lush summer elements! We designed an arrangement full of mauve and blush blooms that we attached to a wooden Chuppah for the couple to wed under. This ceremony space and setup were so light, bright, and fresh - perfect for a summer wedding!

Afterward, guests attended an indoor reception at the venue, surrounded by Ashton Depot’s stunning marble floors and stained glass windows. We played off of the elegant atmosphere of this restored historical train station and created a few different floral moments throughout the space. For the head table, we designed four large elevated arrangements down the middle of the table. Paired with candles and compote arrangements and just in front of a hedge wall with the newlyweds’ last name on it, this was the focal point of the reception space and so great for photos!

Throughout the rest of the space, guest tables were decorated with either fluffy peony-filled compote arrangements or greenery paired with floating candles. This wedding took on such a gorgeous color palette full of soft pinks and neutral tones, with lots of greenery for an organic feel. Gold chairs and table accessories went so well with these colors, too!

The personal flowers matched this organic, feminine color range. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were simple and delicate yet dense with statement flowers, and looked so beautiful with their pink gowns. Kylee’s bouquet matched this elegance with additional pops of color and volume. This bride looked stunning in her classic gown and organic, summer-y bouquet.

This couple was well worth the wait after a few months of postponement. It was such a joy to see them finally get to celebrate with friends and family!

Anna Grace + Brandon's Surprise Ceremony

This week we’re looking back on a legendary “gotcha” wedding for Anna Grace and Brandon. After getting engaged the couple decided to surprise friends and family by inviting them to what looked like an engagement party, but was actually their Big Day. Guests arrived with no idea that they would be attending the couple’s ceremony instead of celebrating their engagement! Programs that were given out explained the real plans and everyone got up to speed before they got to see the bride walk down the aisle. We were thrilled to design and provide flowers for this unique celebration of such a lovely couple.

The flowers for this wedding were the epitome of classic and organic style. For the ceremony, we added a greenery-and-floral arrangement to a wooden cross at the altar and decorated the aisle with greenery and lots of romantic candles. Tying the room together and adding to an organic feel, vines of greenery accented the wall of windows behind the altar. This ceremony space was simple and light while being lush and romantic.

The reception was held in Hickory Street’s beautiful industrial-style space that had stunning black accents and romantic lighting. We designed a mixture of tall, larger arrangements that sat on gold stands, and low centerpieces and bud vases on the rest of the guest tables. We also accessorized with candles, as always! This space has lots of great natural light, but after dark the candlelit atmosphere is perfect. Candles are also a great way to bring in any accent colors you have by choosing specific votive candle holders.

Anna Grace’s bouquet was light and bright yet so full and lush. Different white rose varieties, peonies, and ranunculus paired with vivid eucalyptus made for a gorgeous and classy accessory for our bride!

Flowers were so important to this event since they helped immerse guests unexpectedly in a surprise ceremony and reception! We loved adding these classic and romantic touches to this special celebration.

Kelly + John's Valentine's Day Affair

There’s a special place in our hearts for Valentine’s weddings, especially when they feature a tasteful take on all the pink tones! Kelly and John’s wedding at BRIK venue was full of beautiful, feminine touches and great floral textures. We collaborated with Shannon Rose Events on this wedding, and always love all of the design inspiration she brings to the table!

This wedding’s pink color palette had lots of unique tones and depth, with touches of brown and orange as a nod to Kelly and John’s alma maters UT Austin and Auburn University. We loved designing several different yet complementary floral elements that decorated everything from the seating chart to the aisle, alter, and head table.

The ceremony aisle was accessorized with ground arrangements full of greenery and different rose varieties. At the altar, we placed two tall arrangements on elegant gold stands to frame the couple and the bridal party. BRIK’s simple ceremony space was such a great canvas for these ceremony flowers and the colors paired so well with the rich brown wood flooring and seating.

In the reception space, guests were welcomed with a beautiful custom seating chart made of metal tiles and adorned with greenery. We decorated the guest tables with low arrangements in simple bowls, surrounded by blush taper candles. This mix of elements made for an organic yet modern look.

The head table was the statement of the reception room, topped with four large elevated arrangements of greenery and blooms. These brought the eyes up, and we created intimacy beneath them with a collection of pillar and taper candles down the length of the table, along with some smaller arrangements.

Kelly’s bouquet was such a beautiful and unique collection of blush, ivory, and orange tones, with sparing touches of green. Mimicking the bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids’ included the same soft-colored roses and dyed fern leaves. This bridal party was pretty in pink and so sophisticated!

We loved designing the flowers for this Valentine’s wedding that looked at home in the lovely BRIK venue. Now this holiday is extra special for these two!

Bouquet Ingredients: white Peonies, Sahara Roses, Cappuccino Roses, blush Butterfly Ranunculus, Mauve Lisianthus, Terracotta Sweet Pea, white Astrantia, white Scabiosa, Spirea, Heuchera Leaves, Died Ferns
